3) What is this drive?s serial access time, recalling that serial access time is the time required to

read the second of two sequential sectors? HINTS: Question 2 is asking you to compute the time it would take to sequentially

read the entire disk. Remember, there would be no rotational delay when

reading sequentially, so the formula the total TTT seeks + HTH switches +

the time required to read all of the tracks (total number of tracks / rotation

speed).

Question 3 is asking you to compute the time it would take to read the

second of two sequential sectors, not the entire disk. There are a few ways

to do this, but the easiest is to simply take the time to read the entire disk

and divide it by the number of sectors on the disk. This would give you an
