Find the percentage of adult G. mollicoma that have carapace lengths between 16 and 17mm. b. Find the percentage of adult G. mollicoma that have carapace lengths exceeding 19mm. c. Determine and interpret the quartiles for carapace length of the adult male G. mollicoma d. Obtain and interpret the 95th percentile for carapace length of the adult male G. mollicoma." I have found the answers to A. and B. using a key, but am unsure as to how those answers were reached. For example, for question A, the key states that: "z1 = 16 18.14/1.76 = 1.22 AND z2 = 17 18.14/1.76 = -0.65 therefore the probability is 0.3888 0.2422 = 0.1466. It follows that 14.66% of adult male G. mollicoma have carapace length between 16 mm and 17 mm." I am having trouble seeing how -1.22 and -0.65 translate into 0.3888 and 0.2422, respectvely.
