Introduction and Alignment
You need to understand the differences among the ethnocentric, geocentric, and polycentric staffing
approach and which staffing to use according to the country in which the business is being organized.
Staffing the organization can be a tool for developing and promoting the desired corporate culture of the firm.
The decision to staff from an ethnocentric, geocentric, or polycentric position needs to be made early in the
formation of an international business.
Upon completion of this assignment, you should be able to:

1. Read Chapter 17 in the Global Business Today textbook.
2. Navigate to the threaded discussion below:
a. Using your chosen company, describe the staffing policy you believe they should incorporate.

b. Use OCLS to find an article that discusses one of these three types of staffing policies
(ethnocentric, geocentric, and polycentric). Discuss the article.
3. Your initial post should be 150 to 200 words in length. Using OCLS, include two credible sources that
are properly cited in APA format.
