1) How is Rule Management in Object Oriented Databases defined?
2) What are the benefits with an Object Oriented Database?
3) What are the risk, with an Object Oriented Database?
Developing a database requires the programmer to decipher which type of model to approach. In considering which type of database to build and what its use will be will help the developer to implement 1 of 3 design types. The consideration for the particular database model whether, Record-based Data Model, Object-based Data Model, or Physical Data Model it will be easy to decide depending on the type of database needed. In this paper, I will discuss each database model in detail, with a major focus on Object Oriented and the benefits associated with it. In discussing Object oriented Databases, I will also describe the need for them, and what details make up the workings of an Object Oriented Database. In determining the need for an Object oriented Database I will list the benefits and negativities that they have while also focusing on what types of databases they work well with and what data types should be stored. I will conduct research with a variety of sources to examine each aspect of this paper.
